Our Vision

To inspire each child to have an irresistible love of learning and a strong set of values that will lead them to success and happiness giving every child, every chance every day.

"Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day"

           Barn Nativity 2013

Our Value for February is

Every child, every chance, every day.

I welcome you to Stondon Lower School on behalf of the staff, the children, the parents and the governors.

It is our belief that every child deserves the best life chances and that our school in partnership with parents and carers, plays a vital role in that. We aim to promote a child’s curiosity about the world around them, foster an irresistible love of learning, develop their independence and social awareness and promote good working habits. Our school motto ‘Ever child, every chance, every day’ captures this belief.

From the moment the children first arrive, we aim to help them to settle quickly, build excellent relationships with other children and with adults, feel happy, safe and secure and quickly take those first steps on the next phase of their learning journey.

Stondon Lower has a committed and passionate staff team and governing body who work closely together to provide a positive environment and experience that meets the needs of all pupils. We are actively supported by a dedicated parent and teacher association (PETALS). We also work closely with Orchard Children’s Centre, which use part of our premises to run relevant services and Stondon Stompers, our community pre school providers.

Stondon Lower is a Values school. We hold the values kite mark of which we are all very proud. It marks our school as a place where developing good values is at the foundations of all learning. As you read this prospectus, I expect that you will have more questions. We therefore encourage you to visit our school with your child. Come along and see what we are up to and how we do it; ask those questions and see for yourself,

Looking forward to welcoming you very soon,

Miss Sarah Woodham

"Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make good progress in learning to read, write, form letters and find out about numbers"
"The school uses its involvement in "Values Education" exceptionally well and makes contribution to pupils' personal development"

We have made every effort to provide up-to-date and accurate information, which is both clear and easy to understand.  However, it should not be assumed that there will be no change in the current year or subsequent years.
