Dear Parents and Guardians

We offer you a warm welcome to Stondon Lower School and hope that this will be the beginning of a rewarding partnership with your family. We believe that the primary years are a vitally important time for sowing the seeds of curiosity, fostering good working habits and encouraging a love of learning.  We aim to help all children settle in happily and to feel enthusiastic about their work.

Stondon Lower School has a staff and governing body who are committed to meeting the needs of the children in a challenging environment and they are actively supported in this by the Parent Teacher Association (PETALS), the SAS (Stondon After School Club) and Breakfast Club and by close links with the local community.

The information given in this prospectus is no substitute for a visit and you are strongly recommended to make an appointment to visit the school with your child.  We look forward to meeting you.

Mrs Jill Davies

Headteacher

Quotes from OFSTED Report Oct 09
"The staff take very good care of pupils and know them and their families very well"

" The outside area is an excellent resource for learning. The children learn about healthy food by growing vegetables and collecting eggs from the hens"
